Beginning with a thorough analysis of site content to be migrated and client requests, we focused on the need for clear user navigation and ease of use because of the variety of content the design needed to fit. From research specifics and faculty bios to events and downloads, there was a lot of content and functionality to consider. A new site architecture was created to make it easier for users to find the content they're looking for and the design system was developed to be scalable across six different sibling sites — each with their own unique audiences and content needs.

The look and feel of the site connected with the Duke School of Medicine, but evolved the brand's design standards to create something new and fresh for the digital space and for this audience in particular.
