This award-winning brochure was designed as the beginning of a refreshed brand identity for Lenoir Memorial Hospital. A bold approach that reflected a higher level of capability was crafted, including new photographic language, typography and color palette. The client's enthusiasm led to widespread adoption across their marketing channels.

This brochure was developed to highlight the complete scope of cancer-related services that Lenoir Memorial Hospital offers its community. It showcases the hospital in an open, honest manner that patients and their families will find helpful and refreshing. Fresh, photo-journalistic style photography brilliantly captured the individual personalities of the physicians, nurses and staff that patients interact with on a daily basis. The booklet layout allowed the information to unfold like a story, delivering information in small, continuous sections to aid in learning and recall.

This became the first part of an initiative toward a bold visual and messaging campaign focused on telling the brand’s story rather than selling its services. It was a statement to the community that the hospital is serious and more than capable to care for, treat and support cancer patients and their families.

I was involved with this project from beginning to end and was hands-on every step of the way — writing and editing copy, developing the concept and design, directing and doing additional photography and coordination of printing.
